Quotes from Executive General Manager Marketing Tourism NT, Tony Quarmby
“Encouraging locals to get out and become a tourist in their own backyard has been one of the best ways to support our tourism and hospitality operators, and Territorians have really taken this opportunity on board.
“With bookings open from February until the end of April, I’d encourage Territorians to consider travelling to some of our regions to also help businesses in those areas.
“The Territory Tourism Voucher scheme is a $16.2 million package delivered through three funding rounds to support the Territory’s tourism industry and encourage Territorians to experience our great Territory lifestyle and try new experiences.
“Round 1 and 2 returned more than $17 million in bookings to date across the Northern Territory, which is a great reflection of this support.”
