LOCATION: Aldridge St, Austin St, Collette St, Kersley St, Ringwood St and Tuckwell St, SOUTHPORT

ALERT LEVEL: Planned Burn Advice - Firefighters are managing the burn but visibility may be affected.

RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: Smoke from this fire may affect visibility, Active fire may occur close to the roadside, Firefighting crews may be working close to the roadside.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: Bushfires NT will be conducting planned burns on a number of vacant crown land parcels in the Southport area. The operation will commence after 12:30 and be complete by 17:00 hours. It is expected that the fire will smoulder overnight.
