FIRE BAN ADVICE - FRIDAY 28 AUGUST 2020

The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Friday 28 August 2020 for the following areas.

Darwin and Adelaide River, Daly South, Gregory, Carpentaria West Fire Weather Forecast Areas and the Northern Fire Protection Zone and Katherine Fire Protection Zone.

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Friday 28 August 2020.

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban area.

This includes the DARWIN, BATCHELOR, ADELAIDE RIVER, PINE CREEK, TIMBER CREEK, MATARANKA AND KATHERINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
