Northern Territory Major Events Company

Red Hot Arts Central Australia is encouraging artists of all disciplines to make a submission for next year’s Desert Festival, with artist applications now open for the 2020 event.

The 2020 Desert Festival runs from Thursday, 24 September to Sunday, 11 October and celebrates arts and culture in Alice Springs/Mparntwe through music, dance, comedy, theatre and film.

Local artists are eligible for the Desert Festival Show Development Program, which offers Territorians the opportunity to work with the festival team to develop various aspects of their show in the lead up to delivery.

The Desert Festival provides all successful applicants with marketing and promotional support, venue and production management, ticketing operations and additional income opportunities where applicable.

Red Hot Arts will hold two application information sessions on Thursday, 21 November, 2019 at 5pm and Thursday, 23 January, 2020 at 5pm at 67 Bath St, Alice Springs.

Local, intra and interstate artists are invited to apply through the online application form, or email arts@redhotarts.com.au for more information.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday, 7 February, 2020.
