Finalists announced for the 2019 Northern Territory Education and Care Awards

Department of Education

The Department of Education congratulates the outstanding early childhood educators, services and programs who have today been announced finalists for the 2019 Northern Territory Education and Care Awards.

Acting Chief Executive, Leanne Nixon, said the awards are an opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievements of early childhood and school age educators, services and programs in the Northern Territory.

“This year we received 91 Education and Care Award nominations and 32 Parents and Community Voice submissions from across the Territory,” Ms Nixon said.

“These figures speak volumes about the number of wonderful educators, programs and services that are delivering quality outcomes for young children and their families right across the Northern Territory.

“Early childhood educators and programs play a fundamental role in a child’s development, and I congratulate each of the finalists and nominees on their valuable contribution and commitment to ensuring our children have the best start in life.

“This is an outstanding achievement and one that you should all be extremely proud of.”
