Tropical Light ambassadors raising profile of Territory’s capital

Northern Territory Major Events Company

The final three ambassadors have been announced as part of the Bruce Munro: Tropical Light Community Engagement Program.

Darwin residents Elena Gomatos, Alex McInnes and Huijia (Vicky) Liu have been selected as ambassadors representing a broad cross-section of the community.

The three Territorians represent people over 45-years-old, living with a disability and speaking English as a second language respectively.

The ambassador role requires successful applicants to create content that captures the complete Tropical Light experience and share that content publicly through their social media channels, using the hashtag #tropicfun.

Ambassadors and the photos and videos they produce, will be promoted through the exhibition’s website, and Instagram and Facebook accounts, providing a local voice for local experiences.

There are now six successful Tropical Light ambassadors who will all partake in one Tropical Light tour experience and one Darwin tourist experience, while being filmed by the Tropical Light media crew to share on social media.

Other ambassadors include Darwin residents Jerusha Harper-Ceylani, Cat Hart and Nicole Brown who have taken on the young family ambassador, arts enthusiast ambassador and Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander ambassador roles respectively.
