NT Tourism Operators in Los Angeles

Tourism NT is supporting 10 Territory tourism operators take part in Australia Marketplace USA, a joint trade event taking place from today, Monday 26 to Thursday 29 August 2019 in Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles.  

Australia Marketplace USA brings together over 100 key North American Wholesale Owners/Product Managers and 100 Australian tourism products and services, creating the opportunity to provide updates and secure preferred agreements, as well as the chance to meet and train select Preferred Retail Agents.

The program begins with a Northern Territory industry update and reception today followed by three days of one-on-one appointments and networking opportunities.

Representing the Territory at Australia Marketplace USA are Emu Run Experience, Uluru Segway Tours, Uluru Camel Tours, Wayoutback Australian Safaris, Outback Tours Services, SEIT Outback Australia, Intrepid Travel/Adventure Tours and AAT Kings, with Voyages Indigenous Tourism and Journey Beyond are also attending as national operators.

Australia Marketplace USA is a joint State Tourism Organisation (STO) trade event by the Coalition of Australian States and Territories (COAST) North America including Tourism NT, Destination NSW, South Australia Tourism Commission, Tourism and Events Queensland, Tourism Tasmania, Visit Victoria and Tourism WA.

“With more than 100 buyers from North American travel companies, Australia Marketplace USA provides an opportunity for NT operators to meet directly with US based trade to increase their knowledge of the NT as a must-visit destination,” Mr Hopper said.

“The USA is the NT’s largest international market with the Tourism Research Australia visitor data for the year ending March 2019 showing a 6.5 per cent increase in visitors from the US on the previous year.”
