Hop to the Darwin Waterfront this Easter Saturday, 20 April 2019 from 9am to 1pm, and make all your child’s Easter dreams come true!
Meet Mr & Mrs Easter Bunny in their majestic Bunny Burrow, have your photo taken and get a chocolate egg and balloon! Photos will be taken by a professional photographer and shared on the Darwin Waterfront Facebook page after the event.
Kids can burn-off all that extra Easter excitement with two jumping castles, two water slides, giant inflatables in the Recreation Lagoon, an inflatable obstacle course in the parklands, a kids’ DJ, giant garden games and come ‘n’ try hockey with Hockey NT.
Hyper the Clown and Jemma the Jester will work their balloon twisting Easter magic and make everything from bunnies, animals and flowers.
Yenz Entertainment will bring along her team of festival glitter artists to sprinkle about some magic and get the kids crafting at the sand art station. Kids can also get creative with The Burning Circus and make their own paper plate bunny.
Fairy Jill’s Enchanted Entertainment will have a free circus workshop with diabolos, juggling, spinning plates, poi and balance toys as well as a giant bubble play.
Families can find their way through the Easter egg trail at the event and collect a stamp and a few chocolate treats at each stop to go into the draw to win one of two Darwin Harbour experiences with Darwin Airboat Tours and Cape Adieu.
There’s more chances to win with the colouring-in competition, open to children (up to 14 years). Prizes include an overnight stay at The Vibe hotel, vouchers for the Oyster Bar Darwin, Trampoline Gelato, Curve Cafe and Bar, Thirsty Zac and the Darwin Waterfront Wave Lagoon.
Precinct restaurants and cafe will have a variety of food options available on the day. There will also be snack stalls operating on the lawns along with a sausage sizzle fundraiser.
The Wave Lagoon will be open early (at 9am) on Easter Saturday and is open every other day over the long weekend from 10am to 6pm over the Easter long weekend (including Good Friday).
