Northern Territory Government

Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade Help shape the future of the Territory’s screen industry

18 October 2021

Expressions of Interest are being sought for members to join the Screen Industry Advisory Council (SIAC) for an initial term of two years from appointment.

The SIAC represents the Territory’s screen industry, providing expert advice and feedback on matters related to the development and growth of the Northern Territory screen industry.

Creative industries such as screen production and broadcasting have wide-ranging impacts across the economy by improving liveability and increasing visitor attraction and experiences, all part of the Northern Territory Government’s goal of a $40 billion economy by 2030.

Experienced NT screen industry practitioners and the Territory’s local business community are encouraged to apply.

Nominations open today, 18 October 2021 and close Monday, 8 November 2021.

Quotes from Screen Territory Director Jennie Hughes:

“Members of the Screen Industry Advisory Council have the opportunity to help shape the future of the Territory’s screen industry.

“It’s important to have a mix of screen practitioners as well as local business representatives to continue to grow a vibrant screen industry, boost opportunities for key local businesses and maximise employment and economic outcomes for all Territorians.”
