Department of People, Sport and Culture 2025 NT Youth Week Ambassador applications open

Young Territorians passionate about their community and eager to represent the voices of young people are encouraged to apply to be a 2025 NT Youth Week Ambassador.

Young people aged 15 to 25 can apply. As an Ambassador, young people can express their ideas, raise concerns and act on issues. Each Ambassador is encouraged to connect with other young people and the wider community and promote the positive contributions young people make to society.

NT Youth Week Ambassadors can:

act as a spokesperson for young people in an advisory role to the Office of Youth Affairs (OYA)work collaboratively with OYA in planning and coordinating NT Youth Weekbe at the forefront of the NT Youth Week promotional campaign and attend the many NT Youth Week eventsdevelop skills in leadership, public speaking, event coordination and promotion, project management and networking.

Previous Ambassadors have provided a voice in the development of the Territory-wide All Youth Conferences and spoken about the success of NT Youth Week during the Young Achiever Awards, where they also participate as category judges.

In 2024, 6 young people, representing 4 regions of the Territory, were selected as Ambassadors and all contributed their time, knowledge and expertise to the success of NT Youth Week 2024. NT Youth Week, which coincided with the April School Holidays, resulted in an impressive 380 events and activities on offer for young people.
