LOCATION: Stuart Highway, BIRDUM - VERMELHA STATION

ALERT LEVEL: Advice #2 - A fire has started in the area. Monitor the situation for changes.

FIRE TYPE: Bushfire. INFORMATION CURRENT AS AT: 20/08/2023 10:30 hours.

STATUS: BEING CONTROLLED - Effective strategies are in operation or planned for the entire perimeter.

RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: Smoke from this fire may affect visibility.

WHAT TO DO: Conditions may change, monitor conditions in your area.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: A fire is currently going East of the Stuart Highway, Birdum causing smoke in the area. Firefighters are in attendance. Please take care when travelling through the area and turn on headlights if travelling through smoke.

IT IS EXPECTED THIS SITUATION MAY CONTINUE UNTIL: 21/08/2023 10:00 hours.
