NT Health COVID-19 Update: mask wearing following a COVID-19 infection

12 September 2022

The Chief Health Officer has updated mask wearing requirements, following a COVID-19 infection.

Masks are now required to be worn when outside the home for two days after the isolation period has ended. This has been reduced from five days, to help maintain the seven days of protection and reduce the risk of transmission.

People must also not enter a high risk facility for five days after their infection unless they live there or require access to a service.

People who test positive to a Rapid Antigen Test must immediately declare their result using the online declaration form [https://health.nt.gov.au/covid-19/testing/register-positive-test]. Isolation following a COVID-19 infection remains at five days.
