Liquid Light to captivate at Darwin Waterfront

12 October 2023

An exciting, large-scale outdoor installation, ‘Liquid Light’, will transform the Darwin Waterfront recreation lagoon into a showcase of water, light and sound from Saturday, 25 November.

The four-week spectacle will include three different shows, with multiple free performances each night until New Year’s Eve.

Delivered by Australian company Oracle Liquid, the multi-media experience includes laser projection, water fountains, flames and animations, programmed to an energetic soundtrack.

Darwin Waterfront Corporation Chair, Dr Richard Fejo said he was excited for the installation and looked forward to delivering a new experience for the Territory.

“Liquid Light is a high-energy production that will be a unique, first-ever experience for Darwin and will provide multiple opportunities for visitors and locals to visit the Waterfront, have dinner and enjoy a world-class show,” Dr Fejo said.

The first of the three shows, Saltwater Spectacular, will commence at 7.30pm on 25 November and will run three times each night until 10 December. The show will transition to the second show, Christmas Cascades, on 14 December before the installation culminates on New Year’s Eve with a firework spectacular.
