BUSHFIRES NT MESSAGE: ADVICE #6

LOCATION: Edith Falls Road, NITMILUK

ALERT LEVEL: Advice - A fire is burning in the area. Monitor the situation for changes.

FIRE TYPE: Bushfire. INFORMATION CURRENT AS AT: 19/07/2024 09:00 hours.

STATUS: UNDER CONTROL - The fire is at a stage where firefighting resources are only required for patrol purposes and major re-ignition is unlikely.

RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: Smoke from this fire may affect visibility.

WHAT TO DO: Conditions may change, monitor conditions in your area.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: Smoke is visible near Edith Falls (Leliyn) in Nitmiluk National Park, north of Katherine. Take care when driving in the area.

IT IS EXPECTED THIS SITUATION MAY CONTINUE UNTIL: 19/07/2024 18:00 hours.
