Celebrate Priscilla heading back to the desert at fabALICE
Glitter, silver ribbons of fabric and dazzling costumes will take over the Red Centre when fabALICE Festival returns to celebrate inclusivity and diversity from 7-10 March 2024.
This year’s event will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the widely acclaimed film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, in which two drag queens and a transgender woman journey from Sydney to Alice Springs in an old bus named Priscilla. Events and activations across Alice Springs will pay homage to the cult film with attendees encouraged to find their inner Priscilla and dress bold, glitzy and bright.
Ticketed events include a Comedy and Cabaret show with Rhonda Burchmore and Geraldine Hickey, the famous Priscilla Under Lights Gala with headline act Electric Fields and the ever-popular Drag Queen Bingo, hosted by Party Passport. Free family-friendly events include Drag Queen Storytime and Singalong.
fabALICE is supported by Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC). NTMEC supports around 60 to 70 events through the Event Funding Program and provides event organisers with strategy and industry advice.
