Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services Ex-Tropical Cyclone Tiffany Update #2 – Cyclone Warning for Groote Eylandt

A Tropical Cyclone Warning is now in place for Groote Eylandt.
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Tiffany weakened overnight as it crossed Cape York but is expected to reform today in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
It is likely to cross Groote Eylandt on Wednesday as a category 2 tropical cyclone. Gales are expected to brings winds up to 140km/h on Wednesday.
Warning zone: Groote Eylandt
Watch zone: Nhulunbuy to NT/Qld border, including Numbalwar, Port Roper, and Borroloola.
People in the affected areas are advised to finalise your emergency kits, tidy your yards of loose objects and know where you will take shelter.
