BUSHFIRES NT MESSAGE: FIRE BAN ADVICE
The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the A/Chief Fire Officer have declared a 24-HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Saturday 28 October 2023 for the following areas:
The BARKLY NORTH, BARKLY SOUTH and GREGORY SOUTH-EAST WEATHER FORECAST AREAS.
This includes the TENNANT CREEK and ELLIOTT EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS and KALKARINDJI.
The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Saturday 28 October 2023.
No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.
The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
Issued at 1530 hours CST on Friday 27 October 2023.
