Applications now open for the 2024 NT Alcohol and Other Drugs Youth Grants Program
16 September 2024
Applications for the ninth round of the Northern Territory (NT) Alcohol and Other Drugs Youth Grants Program are now open.
The program aims to minimise harm associated with the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs through a range of prevention, education and community action initiatives.
For the first time, the program is calling for initiatives to increase awareness about the impact of alcohol and other drug use on road safety including the impact alcohol and drugs have on both driving and pedestrian accidents and deaths.
Projects that utilise culturally safe responses to help address harms associated with alcohol and other drugs is another key focus area for this grants round.
Individual grants of up to $20,000 are available for community projects or initiatives, with a total of $271,000 available to be awarded in the 2024 – 2025 funding round.
Since the program commenced in 2016, about $2.1 million has been provided through 126 projects to help minimise harm associated with the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs across the Territory.
Applications are open through the GrantsNT website and close at midnight on Friday, 11 October 2024.
All NT based community groups, non-government organisations, local councils, sole traders and partnerships are eligible to apply.
