NT Fire and Emergency Services Structure fire - Durack

NT Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) responded to a structure fire in Durack this morning.

NTFRS received a report of a house on fire on Yale Court, Durack at approximately 1:15am.

Crews immediately attended the scene, finding the building fully engulfed in flames, resulting in extensive damage.

NTFRS crews worked quickly to contain the fire to protect surrounding properties.

Two adults were transported to Royal Darwin Hospital with minor injuries.

NT Police Force and St John NT also attended the scene.

NTFRS will investigate the cause of the fire.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Stephen Hunter said members of the public should avoid the area.

“Fire investigators are still on the scene so please avoid the area.”

“I praise the actions of our firefighters who attended swiftly and worked hard to avoid damage to surrounding houses.”
