BUSHFIRES NT MESSAGE: PLANNED BURN ADVICE

LOCATION: Larapinta Drive, ALICE SPRINGS

ALERT LEVEL: Planned Burn Advice - Firefighters are managing the burn but visibility may be affected.

FIRE TYPE: Planned burn. INFORMATION CURRENT AS AT: 17/06/2024 15:00 hours.

STATUS: PLANNED BURN - A planned burn will commence at 1700 hours.

RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: A planned burn will be undertaken, working west from Simpson's Gap to Stanley Chasm. Active fire may occur close to the roadside.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: A planned burn is underway along Larapinta Drive, Alice Springs between Simpson's Gap and Stanley Chasm.

For the safety of firefighting crews and other vehicles, drivers in the area are urged to slow down, turn on headlights and drive safely for the conditions. For further information regarding bushfires, visit Fire Incident Map.
