One new COVID-19 case has been recorded in the Northern Territory in the past 24 hours.

The 12 year old child arrived on the repatriation flight from Istanbul on 30 July 2021 and tested positive for COVID-19.

He is asymptomatic and under the care of NT Health at the NT Centre for National Resilience.

Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on 23 October 2020:

* 10,675 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the Ho ward Springs Centre for National Resilience.

* A total of 138 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported from international repatriation

* The total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory is 201.

* There are currently nine active cases in the Northern Territory
