LOCATION: Hardies Lagoon Arnhem Highway MARRAKAI  

ALERT LEVEL: Advice  - A fire has started in the area. Monitor the situation for changes.

FIRE TYPE: Bushfire. INFORMATION CURRENT AS AT: 06/09/2020 18:33:00 

STATUS: UNDER CONTROL - The fire is at a stage where fire fighting resources are only required for patrol purposes and major re-ignition is unlikely.

RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA:Smoke from this fire may affect visibility, Firefighting crews may be working close to the roadside.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: The fire is now contained along the Stuart Highway between Marrakai Access Track, Corroboree Billabong access track and Hardies Lagoon access track. If you see active fire outside of this area, please call 000 to report your sighting.
