A Darwin man has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) after returning from Melbourne.
The man arrived on a flight from Melbourne today.
In accordance with national medical guidelines, the Centre for Disease Control has carried out contact tracing for this flight and all close contacts have now been notified and are in mandatory supervised quarantine at Howard Springs Quarantine Facility.
The man is now under the care of Top End Health Service.
All 33 cases of COVID-19 in the Northern Territory are related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
