The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Chief Fire Officer/Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Thursday 12 December 2019 for the following areas.               

ALICE SPRINGS FIRE PROTECTION ZONE, LASSETER WEST and SIMPSON EAST FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Thursday 12 December 2019. 

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

This includes the ALICE SPRINGS EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREA.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
