The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Acting Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have EXTENDED the current 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Thursday 10 October 2019 for the following areas.            

NORTHERN FIRE PROTECTION ZONE, DARWIN AND ADELAIDE RIVER, CARPENTARIA EAST, DALY SOUTH AND GREGORY NORTH WEST FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

This includes DARWIN, BATCHELOR, ADELAIDE RIVER, PINE CREEK and BORROLOOLA EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS and the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY and COOMALIE SHIRE.

The updated Fire Ban is valid from 1000 to midnight.
