The popular Laneway Series is back for the last time in 2019 with a fun-filled event on Thursday October 10.

The event will be headlined by Dr Elephant and will feature entertainment by Burning Circus and Top End Critters, welcoming people of ages into Darwin city.

Activate Darwin Advisory Board Chair Bridgette Bellenger said the Laneway Series has proven a popular drawcard in attracting people into the city to help drive vibrancy.

“The focus on working with surrounding venues to provide the food and drinks, and on delivering different experiences each month, is bringing fun and colour to a variety of areas around Darwin city,” Ms Bellenger said.

“The October event is being held on a Thursday night for the first time, and is a particularly family-friendly event so we encourage everyone to come and enjoy the food and fun.”

‘On the Raft’ will feature soulful beats from DJ Tristan and live music from popular cover band Dr Elephant.

The Territory Government provides $250,000 in funding to deliver the Laneway Series events through Activate Darwin, with last month’s Carnival on Smith St attracting more than 2,000 people.

This is the 15th instalment of the Laneway Series and will include food and drinks from Hanuman, Darwin Entertainment Centre and Hilton Darwin. The event will be held at the Breezeway, Darwin Entertainment Centre, Mitchell St Darwin. For further information visit the Activate Darwin Facebook page.
