The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Acting Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Wednesday 02 October 2019 for the following areas.                    

CARPENTARIA WEST, CARPENTARIA EAST, GREGORY NORTH WEST, GREGORY SOUTH EAST, DALY SOUTH AND DARWIN AND ADELAIDE RIVER FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS AND THE KATHERINE AND NORTHERN FIRE PROTECTION ZONES.

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Wednesday 02 October 2019. 

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

THIS INCLUDES THE DARWIN, BATCHELOR, ADELAIDE RIVER, PINE CREEK, KATHERINE, BORROLOOLA, LARRIMAH AND MATARANKA EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS AND THE LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY AND COOMALIE SHIRE.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
