The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Monday 9 September 2019 for the following areas.                  

NORTHERN FIRE PROTECTION ZONE, DARWIN & ADELAIDE RIVER, DALY SOUTH AND GREGORY NORTHWEST FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Monday 9 September 2019. 

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

This includes the DARWIN, BATCHELOR, ADELAIDE RIVER and PINE CREEK EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS and the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY and COOMALIE SHIRE.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
