The annual international Inbound NT three day event commences today, 4 September 2019 providing NT operators the opportunity to meet face-to-face with up to 30 product managers from key inbound tour operator partners working across the NT’s global markets.
Held in Alice Springs, Inbound NT is run alongside Tourism NT’s bi-annual Adventure NT event which brings 30 targeted Chinese buyers to the NT.
The product managers and international buyers will participate in pre and post familiarisations of the Northern Territory with the generous support of Qantas.
A total of eight familiarisations will take in some of the NT’s best tourism experiences from world class National Parks to our unique tourism product and our spectacular events calendar.
Inbound NT and Adventure NT are being held on adjacent days to maximise the opportunity for NT operators to meet with all buyers in a compressed timeframe and within destination.
The Inbound NT delegates will today enjoy a welcome event at the Earth Sanctuary in Alice Springs with all delegates participating in the Qantas Gala dinner at The Quarry tomorrow, Thursday 5 September 2019 followed by an Outback Ballooning Experience.
As part of the familiarisation program in Alice Springs Chinese buyers will be hosted at an Adventure NT event at the Alice Springs Desert Park during the Red Centre Bird Festival which is on from 4 to 6 September 2019, as well as the Desert Mob Exhibition and Marketplace, a comprehensive survey of contemporary Aboriginal art by artists from across the desert regions and communities of Central Australia, which commences on 5 September 2019 at the Araluen Arts Centre.
Qantas are sponsoring the events in support of the Territory’s tourism industry, assisting key trade partners to attend and will be presenting to both the Inbound NT and Adventure NT delegates on Qantas Flight routes to, from and around the Northern Territory.
Inbound NT and Adventure NT follow Tourism NT’s annual domestic trade familiarisation and workshop event, NT Round Up which came to a close yesterday.
Showcasing the Territory to 40 domestic and New Zealand delegates including frontline travel agents, wholesalers and product managers, the delegates were in the NT from 29 August to 3 September 2019, travelling from Darwin via Katherine before reaching the Red Centre on The Ghan courtesy of Journey Beyond.
The NT Round Up delegates toured around Katherine and Alice Springs, providing firsthand experiences and opportunities to meet with tourism operators enabling the delegates to better sell the NT.
