Spoil mum this Sunday at the Saltwater Craft Fair

Darwin Waterfront Corporation

Let mum pick her own gift this Sunday at the Tactile Arts Saltwater Craft Fair, from 9am to 2pm.

The lush green lawns of the Darwin Waterfront will be transformed into an arts and crafts paradise.

“Mum’s will be spoilt for choice with hundreds of locally handcrafted wares from over 70 stalls,” Tessa Duke, General Manager of Tactile Arts said.

“You will find ceramics, jewellery, hand printed fabrics, gifts, homewares and much, much more.”

“Some of the standouts include Shona Johnson whose brand Salvation Jewellery has become an Instagram sensation selling a range of funky, colourful statement earrings in every form imaginable. Young entrepreneur Stevi Thomas who recently launched her brand STEVI, featuring a range of contemporary resin homewares and jewellery, all handmade in the NT”

“Another creative Darwinite, Mischa Gorman of Twisted Pots is on a mission to make the world a greener place with her range of indoor plants that can be grown hanging or freestanding in their own container made of twisted coir and plant fibres.”

“Make sure to pick up a ticket for the famous handmade raffles when you visit the Tactile Arts stall on the day, where you can also have beautiful gift wrapping by gold coin donation to make it an extra special gift for mum.”

There will be live music playing throughout the day and plenty of options for breakfast or lunch, this is the perfect way to spend your Mothers’ Day.
