STREAM LEVEL RISES AND LOCALISED FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM MONDAY
A broad trough over the southern Kimberley and Northern Interior of Western Australia continues to bring showers and thunderstorms over the western half of the NT. The system is forecast to move eastward into southern and central NT during Tuesday and Wednesday before clearing the territory during Thursday.
Catchments in the Flood Watch areas are generally very dry.
Moderate to heavy falls are possible in the flood watch area from Monday morning. Widespread rainfall totals of 30-50 mm are forecast for the remainder of Monday. Widespread daily totals of 30-60 mm are forecast for Tuesday and 30-50 mm are forecast for Wednesday. Isolated daily falls in excess of 100 mm are possible.
Significant stream level rises, localised flooding, and overland inundation are possible in parts of the flood watch area which may affect road access.
