FIRE BAN ADVICE - DARWIN, ADELAIDE RIVER, KATHERINE, GREGORY SOUTH EAST, AND BARKLY NORTH FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS

Issued at 15:30 hours on Monday 24 July 2023

The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Director, Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Tuesday 25 July 2023 for the following areas.

DARWIN, ADELAIDE RIVER, and KATHERINE FIRE PROTECTION ZONES, GREGORY SOUTH EAST WEATHER DISTRICT, and BARKLY NORTH FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREA.

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Tuesday 25 July 2023.

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

This includes DARWIN, ADELAIDE RIVER and BATCHELOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS, the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY and COOMALIE SHIRE, the ELLIOTT Emergency Response Area and KALKARINDGI.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
