BUSHFIRES NT MESSAGE: FIRE BAN ADVICE – 25 OCTOBER 2024

The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and A/Chief Fire Officer, Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24-HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Friday 25 October 2024 for the following areas:

The BARKLY SOUTH and BARKLY NORTH WEATHER FORECAST DISTRICTS.

This includes areas within the BARKLY REGION local government area, including THREE WAYS, TENNANT CREEK, ALI CURUNG, WUTUNUGURRA, CANTEEN CREEK, BARKLY HOMESTEAD, ELLIOT and AMPILATWATJA.

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24-hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Friday 25 October 2024.

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.

Issued at 1315 hours CST on Friday 25 October 2024.
