Zen-in your weekends with free yoga

Darwin Waterfront Corporation

Zen-in your weekends with free yoga classes every Saturday in the Dry from 8am at the Darwin Waterfront.

A qualified yoga instructor from Australian School of Meditation & Yoga Darwin will step outside of their studio and into the tranquil Waterfront parklands to deliver guided classes.

“Leave the hecticness of life behind for an hour and take the time to nourish your body and mind,” Kalindi, Yoga Instructor from Australian School of Meditation & Yoga Darwin said.

“Yoga is great for improving your fitness, lean muscle, flexibility and energy levels.”

“In yoga practice, not only do we exercise our body but we also exercise our mind, which is equally as important.”

“In the classes we guide participants through the poses, give lots of options and teach the benefits of resting the mind while working the body.”

“The focus on breathing is used to assist in quietening the mind and boosting the gray matter of the brain which can helped to relieve stress, anxiety and even insomnia.”

“Today more than ever, our minds are continually overstimulated with the demands of technology, work and family life. The practice of meditation can improve focus, self awareness and even our interpersonal relationships.”

The classes are designed for all ages and fitness levels with options for beginners and the more advanced yogis.

“All you need to bring is a mat, water and an open mind!”

No bookings are required.
