If you are passionate about tourism and hospitality services and want to work in one of our world famous national parks this could be the opportunity you are looking for.
The Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture is seeking Expressions of Interests (EOI) to manage the kiosk, campground and day use areas at Ormiston Gorge as well as campground management at Ellery Creek Big Hole and Redbank Gorge, all set in the beautiful Tjoritja / West MacDonnell National Park.
Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture, Senior Manager Community Partnerships, Jill Catchlove, said the EOI at Tjoritja / West MacDonnell National Park will provide the opportunity to deliver a range of services including food, beverage, retail, and campground management and information options for its 153,000 annual park visitors.
“Tjoritja / West MacDonnell National Park stretches for 161km west of Alice Springs and is jointly managed by traditional owners and the Northern Territory Government,” Mrs Catchlove said.
“The park offers breathtaking scenery and a range of bushwalking and camping options to suit everyone. There are also spectacular seasonal swimming holes and a variety of native wildlife less than a two hour drive from Alice Springs on sealed road.
“Ideally the successful proponent is innovative and passionate about providing quality tourism and hospitality services in protected areas and committed to the conservation and enhancement of our natural environment.”
Expressions of interests will be invited for the provision of campground and kiosk management for a period of up to five years as agreed in consultation with the Joint Management Committee.
