Together with the Northern Territory government, Red Cross is supporting Gulf of Carpentaria coast residents in the path of Tropical Cyclone Trevor ahead of it making landfall tomorrow. Red Cross is managing and providing support in evacuation centres set up in Darwin and Katherine, to temporarily house the thousands arriving from Groote Eylandt, Numbulwar and Borroloola, in what’s being compared to the biggest evacuation since Cyclone Tracy.
