Quotes from Tourism NT General Manager Marketing, Tony Quarmby

“The film Top End Wedding has already contributed more than $1.5 million to the Northern Territory economy through use of 180 local suppliers and vendors, and the creation of 190 local jobs.

“To leverage the film and further promote the Territory, Tourism NT and Channel Nine are working in partnership to deliver the Win a Top End Wedding Competition where the Top End’s wedding suppliers, stunning landscapes and diverse tourism offerings are being featured as wedding and honeymoon destinations with a difference.

“The lucky Win a Top End Wedding couple will tie the knot in the NT on 6 May, just following the release of the film Top End Wedding on 2 May.”

Quotes from Sarina Cowcher, The Big Day Bridal

“As a local who has built her business in Darwin for the last 13 years, I am so proud to be a part of the Win a Top End Wedding competition and to be able to share my beautiful wedding dresses with Australia.

“My wedding dress collection is designed with the NT in mind. The dresses are modern and fun and made from fabrics suitable for the Territory’s climate.

“I’ve made four dresses especially for the Today Show and they will be worn by Passerella Models from Darwin.

“The dresses feature a special Territory touch, crocodile trim.

“Crocodile also features on the head pieces by Maria Koko with hair and make-up styled by NK Darwin.

“I hope Today Show viewers see the NT as somewhere contemporary and fun, with everything they need for the perfect Top End wedding.”
