Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture

The Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture’s Araluen Arts Centre will open their Season 2019 program with an evening for the community on Thursday 7 February.

“The Araluen Arts Centre Season 2019 program will be available next Friday, however we are thrilled to share with the community a sneak preview of the year ahead in our theatre and galleries,” Mr Micheal Smith, Acting Director of the Araluen Arts Centre said.

“The Araluen Arts Centre 2019 Season provides an exciting offering of performing and visual arts for the Central Australian community. We are extremely thrilled to be bringing major exhibitions and performances to Alice Springs. We seek to share our excitement for this program with the broader community at the release of the program on Thursday night.

“The evening will give insight into the productions and exhibitions Araluen will be hosting in 2019, the chance to pick up the first hardcopies of the program and a chance to win some free tickets to our theatre shows.”

By simply being there on the night, visitors will have the opportunity to win a major ticket prize of double passes to some of the biggest productions coming to Araluen in 2019.

Season 2019 will see the Araluen Arts Centre stage light up with performances of contemporary dance, live music, engaging theatre, tribute shows and more, while the galleries will play host to exhibitions from leading national institutions, and exciting local artists.

The Alice Springs community are invited to drop into the Araluen Arts Centre from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday to pick up their program.
