Christmas is fast approaching and the jolly man in red will have more than one surprise in store when he visits the Darwin Waterfront precinct this year!
Santa Claus will be launching his very own ‘Wishes to Santa at the Waterfront’ promotion on 1 December. Three lucky children will have their ultimate Christmas wish list granted by the man himself, valued at up to $1,000 each.
For a chance to win, entrants are to spend $20 or more at any of the Waterfront and Stokes Hill Wharf businesses during the promotion period and collect a ‘Wishes to Santa at the Waterfront’ entry form.
Santa will be visiting the precinct each evening between 5pm to 7pm from Friday 7 to Friday 14 December to personally collect wish list entry forms, and also check his Mail Box at the Waterfront for posted entries until the eve of Sunday 16 December.
Winners will be announced the following Sunday 23 December, just in time for Christmas.
In addition to the promotion, the Parklands will be sprinkled with Christmas magic from 7pm to 10pm, launched officially by Santa himself on Saturday 1 December to coincide with the promotion.
This year’s spectacular display will allow you to discover a miniature tinsel town as you make your way past the twelve 'Twinkle Palms', into the 'Christmas Cove' and through to a wonderland filled with festive cheer.
Whilst the Gingerbread Man is out getting last minute items for Christmas, children can have a stroll through his impressive 4m high house illuminated in traditional gold, red and green.
The Parklands will be aglow with coloured shoots of light striking through the trees so why not make a booking at your favourite Waterfront dinner location to take in the festive ambience. You may even want to treat yourself to an ice cream from Trampoline Gelato, or sip on a dessert smoothie from Thirsty Zac.
