A number of Northern Territory Government’s Arts Grants will be open for applications from Monday 22 October 2018, complementing the year round grants available to the Territory arts community.
Each year the Northern Territory Government provides funding to develop and promote the Territory’s arts industry, provide career development and employment opportunities for artists and professional arts workers and increased opportunities for locals and visitors to participate in memorable arts experiences.
Artists and Arts workers are invited to apply for a range of arts grants, to include;
Quick Response Scheme – open all year round offering up to $1,000 per applicant per financial year
Professional Development Fund – open all year round offering up to $2,000 per applicant per financial year
Community Arts Festivals – open all year round offering up to $30,000 per year
Arts Development Round 1 – open 22 October offering up to $20,000 per applicant per round
Presentation and Promotion Round 1 – open 22 October offering up to $20,000 per applicant per round
Skills Development Round 1 – open 22 October offering up to $20,000 per applicant per round
Emerging Artists Round 1 – open 22 October offering up to $15,000 per applicant per round
Live Alice Mparntwe Arts – open 22 October offering up to $50,000 per applicant
Regional Museums Support Grants Program – open 22 October offering up to $50,000 per applicant
Creative in Residence Program – open 1 November offering up to $30,000 per residency
Department of Tourism and Culture’s Director of Arts NT, Angela Hill, said she welcomed the launch of the grants program and encouraged the Territory’s arts community find their boundless possible in one or more of the grants available.
“The Arts Grants program offers important funding aimed at enabling and supporting the cultural and creative arts economy of the Territory”, Ms Hill said.
“One of our goals is to strengthen the arts and cultural industries at a local level. The range of programs are offered to both recognise and celebrate the important contribution of artists to the vitality of our community and to increase participation.”
Applications for Quick Response, Professional Development and Community Arts Festivals are open all year and can be submitted online.
Applications for the Live Alice Mparntwe Arts program, the Project Rounds and Regional Museums Grants are open from 22 October. To find out about the Arts grants available, visit https://dtc.nt.gov.au/find-a-grant. The nomination process will be open from 22 October 2018.
