The Executive Director, Bushfires NT and the Acting Executive Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Monday 01 October 2018 for the following areas.                 

DARWIN, BATCHELOR, and ADELAIDE RIVER FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS, INCLUDING DARWIN, BATCHELOR, ADELAIDE RIVER, PINE CREEK AND KATHERINE ERAS and the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY, COOMALIE SHIRE, THE NORTHERN FIRE PROTECTION ZONE, ARNHEM WEST and KATHERINE FIRE PROTECTION ZONE. 

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Monday 01 October 2018. 

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open, in the declared Fire Ban areas within the Northern Territory.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
