The Executive Director, Bushfires NT and the Acting Executive Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Sunday 30 September 2018 for the following areas.                 

DARWIN and ADELAIDE RIVER FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREA, the NORTHERN FIRE PROTECTION ZONE, ARNHEM WEST, ARNHEM EAST, KATHERINE and DALY SOUTH.

This includes DARWIN, BATCHELOR, PINE CREEK, JABIRU, KATHERINE and ADELAIDE RIVER EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS and the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY and COOMALIE SHIRE.

 The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Sunday 30 September 2018. 

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
