The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Acting Executive Director,
NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24
HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD
for Saturday 22 September 2018 for
the following areas.
DARWIN and ADELAIDE RIVER, CARPENTARIA WEST and CARPENTARIA EAST FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS and the KATHERINE FIRE PROTECTION ZONE.
This includes the following EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS: DARWIN, BATCHELOR, ADELAIDE RIVER, KATHERINE and BORROLOOLA and includes the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY and the COOMALIE SHIRE.
The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Saturday 22 September 2018.
No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the
portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.
The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
