Issued at 1430 hours CST on Wednesday 19 September 2018.

The Executive Director, Bushfires NT and the Acting Executive Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Thursday 20 September 2018 for the following areas.                      

DARWIN and ADELAIDE RIVER FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS.

This includes DARWIN, BATCHELOR and ADELAIDE RIVER EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS and the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY and COOMALIE SHIRE.

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Thursday 20 September 2018. 

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
