FIRE BAN ADVICE

Issued at 14:30 hours CST on Sunday 16 September 2018.

The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Acting Executive Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Monday 17 September 2018 for the following area.                  

DARWIN AND ADELAIDE RIVER FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREA.

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Monday 17 September 2018. 

This includes the DARWIN, BATCHELOR and ADELAIDE RIVER EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS and the LITCHFIELD MUNICIPALITY and COOMALIE SHIRE.

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.  

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
