Please note the Palmerston Regional Hospital will open Monday, 27th August with the emergency department available for patients from 10am.  

Thereafter the emergency department will operate 24/7.

PRH ED and RDH ED nursing and medical staff are highly trained in emergency medicine and have been orientated to provide emergency services across both hospitals. 

The new 116 bed hospital will open to patients with services being staged over a few weeks to ensure patient needs and safety continues to be met.
