The Top End Health Service advises that Royal Darwin Hospital switchboard is currently experiencing a telephone disruption.
At present, the switchboard is unable to receive external telephone calls.
The public wishing to contact their loved ones in hospital are asked to utilise mobile phones as an alternative form of communication, or try to contact the ward directly.
Technicians are working hard to identify and rectify the issue and updates will be provided to the public as soon as further information is available.
There is no estimated timeframe on the outage.
