Two young people escaped from the Alice Springs Youth Detention Centre at approximately 11pm last night (15 July).

It is believed the young people escaped through the ceiling.

No Youth Justice Officers were injured during the escape.

Northern Territory Police are searching for the pair and encourage anyone who may see them to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
