Precautionary Advice for Drinking Water Cancelled for Garawa Two

Department of Health

The Department of Health has lifted the Precautionary Advice for Drinking Water for Garawa Two after two rounds of water samples from the water supply were confirmed by the government laboratory today as no longer having elevated levels of lead and manganese.

Residents have been advised that if they are away from home for extended periods and the water in their homes has not been used that they should always let their taps run for a few minutes to flush out the pipes, as water stagnation can affect the quality of drinking water.

If further information is required, please contact the Department of Health - Environmental Health hotline during business hours on toll free 1800 095 646.
