Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture

Nominations are now open to enter the 2018 Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards, the Northern Territory’s premier tourism industry awards.

As the Territory’s official tourism awards program, the Brolga’s recognise and encourage tourism businesses that strive for excellence in every area of their operation.

Department of Tourism and Culture Acting Deputy CEO Andrew Hopper said the Awards are an opportunity for tourism operators to be publicly recognised for their industry contribution and achievements over the past 12 months.

“Winning a Brolga Award is the industry’s highest accolade and the recipients represent the best products and services in the Northern Territory,” Mr Hopper said.

“This year we are introducing two new NT Awards; Visitor Experience and Emerging Aboriginal Tourism.

“The Visitor Experience Award is open to all tour operators, tourist attractions and hotels with a major focus based on TripAdvisor reviews and ratings with the winner receiving a $20,000 grant to assist them to further develop an aspect of their visitor experience.

“The other new award for the NT is an Emerging Aboriginal Tourism Award, open to 100% Aboriginal owned tourism businesses which have commenced operations in the past three years. The winner of this award will receive a grant of $5,000 to assist with growing an aspect of their market.”

The Brolgas encourage tourism business and operators to lift the bar and continue to deliver world-class attractions, facilities and experiences in the Territory.

Nominations are free and open now, closing Friday 20 July 2018. Entries close Thursday 6 September 2018. To enter or for more information visit www.brolgaawards.com.au
